Automated Mechanical Transmission as so called AMT, which is based on originalmechanical transmission and add hydraulic pressure system to implement the automaticshift. AMT have the automated transmissions advantages and also keep the originalmechanical transmissions virtues,for example, high transmission efficiency、low cost、easy to manufacture、reliable operation etc,completely suit for our country’s status。Based on the project of Tianjin First Automobile for economy car which used AMT,this thesis to research the core problem of AMT—shifting rule. The purpose is toenhance the vehicle’s power performance and fuel economy. This thesis to research theXia li automobile's shift rule of optimal-power and fuel-economy. And TransmissionControl Unit (TCU) is the hardware of AMT control system,and also TCU is the keywayof AMT. TCU's working environment is too bad, during in TCU's working, it can notavoid that appear failure and malfunction. This thesis also researched the keyconstruction of TCU and its fault Diagnosis and analysis.
