As a high-power construction machinery, the research results of hydraulic excavatorsenergy saving will have a profound impact to the national economic and socialbenefits.Excavator exists many loss of energy link, its reason is the process load fluctuation, andworking conditions of various kinds. Among them are power system, hydraulic system and theexecutive components that have not achieve the most economy matching performance and theloss caused by hydraulic system.Hydraulic excavator in process there are tremendous energy consumption, the utilizationrate of the energy is only50%—70%.The main cause of the loss have two reasons: first, Theexcavator conditions is complex, dynamic system is difficult to stabilize the work within therange of efficient work, so had a high fuel consumption and other issues. Second, excavatorusing hydraulic transmission, there still exist great leakage.Therefore, through the control of the engine to make it work in efficient working range caneffectively reduce fuel consumption and reduce environmental pollution.Has been made in theapplication of hybrid technology in the automotive sector, in recent years, research andapplication of cases in the hydraulic excavator is also more and more.In this paper a20tons of large hydraulic excavator just be the design sample, and based onthe AMESim software platform excavator working device, swing mechanism, hydraulic systemand the power system simulation model are established. Work device through the ADAMSsoftware to kinematics and dynamics simulation.Control strategy is the soul of hybrid drive system, proper control strategy can make drivingsystem always maintain a high efficiency in the work and improve fuel economy, reduce theemissions. In this paper we take the type of parallel-series power system, and the minimumpower control strategy of the control. We write control algorithm by MATLAB environment andthe union simulation Simulink-AMESim to easy control the AMESim model.Through the contrast of the simulation we can come to the conclusion that the model andthe real excavator consistent, parallel-series type excavator compared to the other types in doesnot affect the performance of the premise has better energy saving effect. By reducing the powerof engines and adjust the engine wording in high efficient interval, with an electric rotary insteadof hydraulic rotary and energy recovery can achieve the target of reduce oil consumption andemissions. This paper mainly research results are described below:(1)Through the help of PRO/E and ADAMS software we established excavator simulationmodel, and through the virtual prototype of the3d visualization dynamic simulation,interference and kinematics analysis, verify the correctness of the model.(2)Through ADAMS software work device is analyzed in the dynamic simulation, the parts inthe process of the work force is analyzed.(3)We have made a reasonable working circulation that can make the simulation processmore coordinate and the simulation results more reasonable.(4)Based on AMESim software build and simulated the excavator pump control system, androtary valve control system model.(5)The establishment of the valve control system with back to oil regeneration can not onlyimprove the working efficiency of the work unit,but also can effectively avoid the impact ofthe arm down cause.(6)Through adopting rotary motor instead of hydraulic motor can make measures stem followeffect is more ideal; Can eliminate composite action brought rob oil phenomenon; Can solvein reversing is not even turn hydraulic problems; Reduce engine load and fuel consumption.(7)Based on Simulink-AMESim simulation and MATLAB environment we built up varioustypes of control algorithm and simulation analysis, through the comparative study we canlearn that parallel-series type power system and the control method can effectively reduce oilconsumption.(8)Through the method of the traditional excavator turn rotary pump with motor instead of,not only has the good response characteristics, also can effectively recycling braking energyproduced, not only reduce the fuel consumption,but also reduced its hydraulic system heatgeneration.
