Circular-arc gear is widely used in the petroleum, metallurgy, mining and other industrial because of it’s peculiar advantages,such as high bearing capacity, long life, processing convenience. However, transmission performance of circular-arc gear is more sensitive to center-distance error. The larger center-distance error is often the cause of circular-arc gear’s premature failure; therefore the manufacturing and the assembly accuracy of the circular-arc gear must be strictly controlled. The tooth profile of the Quasi-Transverse Double-circular-arc Gear is improved by traditional processing methods, which made the sensitivity of center-distance error reduce.This paper mainly analyzed the Quasi-transverse Double-circular-arc Gear’s sensitive to the center-distance error, and the mesh law of the Quasi-transverse Double-circular-arc Gear under different center-distance error from the changes of the meshing point’s position, contact strength and bending strength, and have compared with the normal circular-arc gear.According to the space engagement theory of arc gear, the paper have analyzed the relationship between the changes of the meshing points’position and the pressure angle under different center-distance error, use the changes of pressure angle to describe the changes of meshing points’position, and consider the influence of gear spiral angle, obtained the law of pressure angle and the value of Quasi-transverse Double-circular-arc Gear with different β cut by hobs with different β0, under different center-distance error.Combine the meshing contact drawing of circular-arc Gear; the research obtained the relationship between transverse profile and engaging circle of circular-arc gear, under different center-distance error, from tooth profile interference and fatalness.The parametric model of Double-circular-arc Gear is established on the Pro/E, and the various of normal-plane、transverse-plane、Quasi-transverse Double-circular-arc Gears are obtained by adjusting parameters,and the model is Simplified and parametric assembled.Based on the plane-plane contact finite-element analysis of ANSYS software, the contact stress and bending stress under different center-distance error of normal-plane、transverse-plane、Quasi-transverse Double circular-arc Gears are obtained by static contact finite-element analysis.From the standpoint of gear contact surface relative main curvature radius and gear surface curvature radius, contact stress and bending stress of Quasi-transverse Double-circular-arc Gear’s sensitivity to the center distance error are analyzed, and the results are consistent to the results of finite-element analysis. Therefore it is advantage at reducing the sensitivity of the center-distance error. And the collocation law β0and β of Quasi-transverse Double-circular-arc Gears are gave.
