Metro as an effective means to relieve traffic jam is rapidly developed in many cities.Vehicle maintenance as an important sector of the metro, its maintenance quality directly affects the efficiency and quality of metro transport. Because lack of control, traditional metro maintenance process didn’t completely free from the influence of human factors, it cann’t process the fault data accurately and timely, cann’t control the maintenance quality, and cann’t achieve the purpose of ensuring the safety of vehicles. Due to the start of metro maintenance of information technology later, our country lacks of complete, intelligent subway maintenance information systems. So, developing subway maintenance information systems has become an urgent task.This thesis had developed a metro maintenance information system. The system was developed in the windows environment, using the Client/Server system structure, using Visual studio2008as the development platform, using C#as the development language, using SQL Server2005as the back-end server. The system developed a user login module to control the users’administrative privileges of database; user management module to achieve the functions of adding, deleteing users, etc; metro fault data query module to facilitate maintenance personnel to visit the fault information in database easily and quickly; fault data management module to achieve the puepose of storage and backup of metro fault data. The system also reserved for the statistical analysis, fault analysis module to count data and forecast the maintenance cycle and find out the main cause of the faults. In database, we had established a database to store fault data information of every metro system. The principle of information-gathering was determinated. Finally, the system visited to the database through ADO.NET.This system provided a platform for researching metro fault information, realizing metro’s information management and technical analysis, and speeding up the process of the metro modernization.
