With economic development, a large number of tall office buildings emerged all over the country. Wether investors, architects or the users, pay great attention to the leased office space of the tall office buildings, but pay little attention to the path space which takes a role of a spatial contact. Negative examples which effect the efficacy of path space in tall office buildings are uncommn, these examples exacerbate the image of indifference. This article takes the path space of tall office buildings in Chengdu as the research object of the study. From the view of architectural design, the author carriea out a preliminary research into the path space of tall office buildings in the method of unifying the theory and surverying.This paper is divided into four chapters. The first chapter is introducted section. First, the author is summery of this article’s background, the signifinance of research subject, and introduces the devolopment of the domestic and international tall office buildings and humanization design. Then, through analysis of several key concepts, the nature of the research. At last, elementary theory of the human design has been introduced, provides the theory basis for the research. Chapter Ⅱ is theoretial analysis of human design to path space of tall office buildings. From the objects and main space, the author expounds the features of tall office buildings’space, human perception of space, bascis needs of peple in buildings and the spacificity of the tall office buildings’users. Chapter Ⅲ is practice analysis to human design of tall office buildings’path space. The author investigated and analysises the current situationg of tall office buildings’path space. Take the massive on-site investigation and the metrical data as the foundation, the author expounds the advantages and disadvantages in the using of tall office buildings. Expanding the scope of the design space, while providing an objective basis for creating an humanization path space to tall office buildings. The chapter four is based on theory and pratice analysis of the first three chapters. From the several key views that is organizational design of path space, identity systems design, barrier-free system design, the author proposes the created strategies in humanization design by multi-lateral and muti-faceted way.
