In the intelligent management of the container, digital and information technology application is always the key point of research. At present, a variety of advanced information technologies have been applied to the management of the container, such as the TOS, RDT technology, etc. However, these techniques can’t solve the container number identification and container basic information collection problems quickly, what’s more, the error rate is very high. In order to solve these problems, the researchers turn to look at emerging technologies, and the rise of frequency identification (RFID) technology just meet the researchers’needs.This paper focuses on the port container automatic identification system. First of all, understanding the technology principle, structure and working process of RFID, then identifying the problems of port container management and pointing out the advantages of RFID technology in port container management, during which process, the main working process and the existing information technology of port container management has been combined. Secondly the article analyzes the demand and the key technology of RFID in the container electronic tag system according to special operation environment, including the choice of the tag and reader, the choice of working frequency, classification of information and the solutions of the metal anti-interference, on the basis of which, the container automatic identification management system structure and function modules based on RFID have been detailed built, so does the working process of the system. Finally, the selection of communication modules, the plan of equipment installation and anti-collision algorithm in data collection have been studied based on the needs analysis of the key technologies and the field testing, furthermore, the investigation and simulation methods have been used to verify its reliability.
