Visual scene simulation can realize flight course of surface-to-surface missile replay realistically, by means of constructing three-dimensional model of goal object and exhibiting actual environment based on the purpose of simulation, using computer graphic technologies. Compared with the traditional method which has some disadvantages such as high cost and long periods, visual scene simulation provides flight research with a visual and convenient approach.Study discusses the effective method of modeling the sky particularly, which is the important flight environment of surface-to-surface missile. The innovative design of a composite structure of the sky is proposed for the purpose to improve visual reality. Some modified algorithms are proposed so that they may significantly enhances the realism of environment of the sky and reduces the complexity of algorithm, These technologies include the algorithm design and implementation of the spray simulation and the real-time simulation of halo of the sky. then the model generation algorithm of the ground and ocean scene, and a corresponding improvement schemes for each algorithm is discussed.In order to further enhance the formation of terrestrial and marine scenes in real time, and the implementation of algorithm of Levels of Detail is introduced. For the ocean scenes are susceptible to sky background and the influence of factors such as the case of sun, the algorithm of texture mapping of the normal vector and vertex rendering algorithm of vertex is adopted, this will effectively enhance the ocean scene reality of simulation。After that, two styles of particle systems are introduced to modeling the wake flame.At the end of the text, the way that how to load entity model in OpenGL rapidly is introduced, a brief description to the modules of the whole virtual reality engine architecture, and implementation of real-time driving logic of two stage booster missile is provided finally.
