LEFP is linear explosively formed penetrator with the definite length in the symmetricaldirection formed from the Linear Invert caused by the detonation productions act of liner EFPshaped charges. LEFP can destroy incoming targets at a distance, so LEFP will be widelyused in military field and civil field in the future. LEFP has much merits wide action range ontargets,Broad effective stand off distance and remarkable after effects and so on.This paper bases on the combination of energy theory and Linear shaped charge principle,and analyzes the LEFP overturn formed mechanism under the action of the detonationproducts by using the linear simultaneous blasting. This paper used ANSYS / LS-DYNAsoftware to simulate the process of LEFP forming and penetrating steel target. By simulatingthe charging structure in three main factors (liner radius, liner thickness, charge height), thepaper analyzed the effect to LEFP penetration ability and found the right proportion ofstructure ratio. And the paper used gray correlation to calculate the correlation of three factorsto optimize designing of charge structure and to improve the penetration ability. Combiningwith the optimization program, the paper designed two comparison charge structure of theLiner radius. Based on the experimental data statistics, LEFP had a good effect for penetrationof steel plate, and the results are consistent with the simulation model. Hence, the research onLEFP has academic and guiding significances for the new destroying units and warheads.
