With the development of technology and the enhancement of modern industrial demandon the production technology, the problem about human-machine coordination in precisionmanufacturing system caused more attention of scientists. The effects of visual fatiguebecome increasingly significant in labor-intensive industries of China, especially in electronicproducts manufacturing. Based on the experimental design, preparation, implementation andverification of visual fatigue testing, the paper described the application of human-machineanalysis in precision manufacturing to optimize the process. For the study of man-machine cooperation in precision manufacturing system, the paperoutlines the ergonomic and fatigue theory, visual fatigue mechanism and fatigue testingmethod. In order to study the visual fatigue of operators in modern manufacturing system, adetection experiment based on ergonomics was designed. Production environment of manualwork station was simulated, which limited the temperature, humidity, noise loudness, andluminosity. The use of heart rate monitoring in the detection process, ensured that the laborintensity of simulations would keep in the medium below. Analyzed the technicalcontradiction in design of the experiment, and selected the invention principles in theory ofinventive problem solving (TRIZ). Optimized and improved the experimental procedureaccording to the principles. Measured the critical frequency of flicker, visual reaction time, simple movement time, and analyzed their relationship with operating time. The experimentdistinguished the respective impact of visual fatigue and other local fatigue on the efficiency, which had occurred at the same time. By simulating the manual work station in modern manufacturing system, the operatingposture was analysised with the human-machine designing module of CATIA after bodymodel had been selected. It included vision analysis; hands stretched domain analysis; bodyposture assessment; rapid upper limb assessment. The requirement of equipment layout wasproposed. The main damaged parts of operator were pointed out.Motion analysis was made with MOD method before the experiment. The standardworking hours was preseted, which provided a basis for arranging operating time of the wholeexperiment.A human-machine-environment system was built when simulating the production system. The method of environment settings, the theory (TRIZ and MOD), and the software (CATIAergonomic design) used in the thesis, can be directly applied to the human-machinecoordination designing in precision manufacturing system, and optimize manufacture process.
