The human-machine interface design of bridge have an important impact on ship safety navigation, ship staff work efficiency and physical health, and the overall performance of ships.The assessment method of human-machine interface of bridge was studied in this paper. From the 4 aspects of the human-hardware interface, human-software interface, human-environment interface and human-human interface, the impact factors, the principles and criterias of the bridge human-machine interface were analyzed. According to analysis results, the assessment system of the bridge human-machine interface was constructed based on the principle of analytic hierarchy process method; the bottom quantitative and qualitative assessment indexes of human-machine interface design of bridge were extracted; and the weight of each bottom quantitative and qualitative index was determined with using analytic hierarchy process method.The quantizing method of bottom quantitative and qualitative assessment indexes was studied, the score quantizing model was developed for quantitative assessment indexes. The fuzzy theory method was applied to quantify the qualitative assessment indexes. A fuzzy theory based multi-experts subjective assessment score quantizing model was developed for qualitative assessment indexes. The aim was to reduce the influences of ambiguity and uncertainty of the subjective assessment comments on the final results, and to integrate the multi-experts assessment comments.The human-machine interface assessment software system of bridge was developed based on UG/OPEN. The mentioned assessment method, assessment process, Chinese human body model and criterias have been integrated into this assessment software.Finally, the 3D model of a bridge was modeled. According to the mentioned assessment method above, the assessment software system was used to assess the vision design of the bridge. Buing to the assessment results, the suggestions of design improvement were presented.
