Radar has been widely applied in the aviation, marine, military and other fields. However, with the development of computer technology and network technology, the traditional hardware-based radar has been increasingly unable to meet the development needs of modern society. The network technology has played an important role in the video and voice transmission.The introducing of its core concept to the radar field will inevitably change the radar structure and speed up the informationization, software and networking process of radar.The marine radar is an important component of the integrated bridge system. The marine radar based on network can transport radar video from distance and be remotely controlled. Because of its software processing,it has stronger adaptability in functionality, performance and expensibility.It will be the direction of featrue marine radar. The design and realization of marine radar display and control terminal based on network is the first step of the marine radar network transformation.In this paper, the marine radar display and control terminal based on network is the research object,and the current development of the IBS and marine radar terminal is firstly analysed. After the overview on the composition, principles, architecture of the marine radar display and control terminal based on network,the advantages and disadvantages of several lossless compression methods was analysed.For the purpose of commonality of terminal,deflate method was used.Coordinate convertion was analysed,and using the method of reverse scan conversion and look-up table to solve the problems of blind sector and "Dead point".Then,the system is divided into several modules:network function,radar video function,navigation tools function,radar target function,ais target function,collision avoidance function,alarm management function and common function.Each module was designed,and the interface of terminal was designed according to the recommendation of performance standard of radar(IEC-62388).After the design of functions,the system was modeling with UML,and the three level architecture which includes data acquisition layer,core business layer and application layer was designed.Then,designing the key modules of system,and using the VC++2005 to realize the system.Because of the displaying capability of both radar target and ais target, the data fusion of radar and ais was studyed.Some actual questions and the fusion model was given,and hope that it has pratical value for the further study.
