With the rapid development of cities and the continuing expansion of urbanization,construction enterprises consume more and more energy. Meanwhile, the rapid developmentof modern economy urges people to have an increasingly demanding on environmentalquality. Both of the above-mentioned aspects naturally give a birth of the concept of greenhousing. The reen housing is not only the concrete manifestation of the implementation ofsustainable development in the construction but also the inheritance and development ofecological concept. People’s demanding on environmental quality is higher and higher, andthe green economy promotes the development of reen housing. However, the rising houseprice discourages the desire of the reen housing and curbs the consumption of reen housing inrecent years. To solve such a problem, this paper conducted a study and it contains thefollowing several parts.Firstly, the paper studies the concept and features of green housing and points out thedifferences between the green housing and common house, which provide guidance for thefollow-up work. At the same time the study of domestic and International green housingdevelopment showed that the study on the total cost of green housing was so rare, that’s whythe paper chose to study the total life-cycle costs evaluation.Secondly, the paper makes a study on the theory of green housing and makes asummarized on the development and research of the related theories,from which sums up theresearch directions, the characteristic and the areas involves. The research provides atheoretical support for this article.Then, with the support of the above theory, a green residence evaluation system was set up,including evaluation methods; meantime, a whole life-cycle cost evaluation model wasdeveloped, including simulation methods. Finallya, life cycle cost model of the greenresidence was obtained.At the end of the paper, the established the index system and the aforementioned modelswere put into practice by using an example, to get the performance level and the wholelife-cycle costs. At the same time, the influence of using of the residence on the environmentwas evaluated, which can demonstrate the feasible of the theory. In the study of China’sdevelopment of green housing constraints, the paper gives several appropriatecountermeasures for the development of the green housing under the development of thegreen economy.
