In order to improve the information management level of the locomotive maintenance industry, and solve the problem of poor reliability, low efficiency and untimely data acquisition in the maintenance process, and strengthen the management and monitoring of the manufacturing process, an approach of managing the maintenance workshop process based on the RFID technology is proposed.The characteristics and requirements of the bogie maintenance process are analyzed. And the information of the maintenance process is classified by the knowledge of the product structure tree. The RFID technology is used to collect and manage the data of the bogie maintenance process. The workflow technology is also adopted along with the RFID technology to support the management and monitoring of the maintenance process. In order to lower the coupling among the maintenance process management system modules, the various functional modules are integrated by the Web Service technology.In the design process, the concept of a diamond process structure (DPS) is put forward. And according to DPS, a method of information storage and encoding scheme is studied. At the same time, taking into account the security of RFID tags’information, an encryption algorithm is used to strengthen the security of the RFID tags’information. These all provide the critical technical supports to the maintenance process management system which is based on RFID technology. Finally, the thesis shows the application process of the management system for bogie maintenance process.
