| Heavy haul railway transport is one of symbol of modern railway. It has obvious advantages because of high efficiency. In recent years, heavy haul transport develops rapidly in China. The increasing axle loads, length of train and traffic density request more reasonable line parameters. Typically, in mountainous areas, curves of small radius are needed. But in bad terrian condition, in order to keep the alignment and control the project cost, we need to take the small radius curve, the vertical curve and the limited gradient together. Now there are no codes of heavy haul railway design in China and few studies have been done about various adverse parameters working together.In this thesis, the line parameters in small radius curve are studied first. Then the dynamic performance of different working conditions has been calculated and analyzed using dynamic simulation mode. The effect and reasonable values of line parameters are based on the dynamic mode. The following studies have been done in this thesis:1. The reasonable parameters of small radius curve are required from the analysis of plane and vertical section by using traditional methods in combination with the characteristics of heavy haul railway line.2. A simulation model for small radius curve analysis has been established based on multibody system dynamics. This mode is used to evaluate the dynamic performance and optimize the line parameters.3. Studies on the dynamic response of train are done using the dynamic model. The effects of different radii and passing speeds in different work conditions on the section of various adverse parameters have been investigated. Reasonable values of line parameters in small radius curve are proposed based on the analysis. |
