The rapid development of the city traffic not only greatly meet the demand of the social circulation of materials and personnel travel, but also brings about traffic jam, traffic accidents, worse traffic environment etc. Considering the city traffic safety issues, We discuss the main characteristics of the city road traffic accidents, the rescue system connotation, the principles of the rescue management, and the city road traffic accident rescue vehicles system operation process. Also, we analyze the problems of the existing vehicle rescue system and the rescue vehicles facility location status.In the study of the city road traffic accident rescue vehicles system, we need to analyze the relationships of the models in the complex rescue system. Since the grid management can ensure that the complex system has an aggregate, information integration, resource sharing and collaborative features such as operation, we introduce the grid management thinking into the vehicle rescue system, grade the vehicles rescue upon the current status of the vehicle rescue, build the corresponding traffic accident emergency rescue response.
