| Gear transmission system has the advantages such as reliable, long life, theinstantaneous transmission ratio is a constant, high transmission efficiency, compactstructure, a wide range power and speed and so on, it is the most widely used deliverydevice of movement and power in a variety of machines, apparatus and equipment.While the gear transmission system also has some disadvantages such as highmanufacturing costs, vibration and noise, easy to produce the dynamic load, thecomplex dynamic characteristics and difficult to design. In the vibration aspect, theinternal excitation of the gear transmission system is a major factor in causing wear anddamage of the gearbox, so to understand the mechanism of internal excitation of thegear transmission, through improved design or take appropriate measures to avoid canimprove the reliability, stability and prolong life of the gear transmission system.This paper mainly studies the dynamic characteristics of the eight-shifts transmission, provide the basis for the gearbox’s design. The main contents are:1)introduce the structure composition and transmission principle of the eight-shiftstransmission, and established the three-dimensional model with UG;2) established thevirtual prototype model of the eight-shifts transmission with the multi-body dynamicsimulation software ADAMS,and the verification and inspection of virtual prototyping.3) provide the segmentation analysis on the gear meshing process to identify the trendsof the single gear meshing force and the main point of formation in incentives and theimpact.4) Calculate the internal excitation frequency of gear system of the eight-shiftstransmission, provide the time domain and frequency domain conversion of the eachgear meshing force simulation results of the gear system of eight-shifts transmissionwith ADAMS Fast Fourier Transform (FFT). To obtained the gear meshing frequencyof the gear system of the eight-shifts transmission, and compared with the theoreticalresults, then the results are consistent.5) provide the modal analysis of the gear and thegearbox of the eight-shifts transmission with ANSYS Workbench, obtained the firstorder to the ninth order modal and mode shapes of the gear, and obtained the first orderto the twentieth order modal and mode shapes of the gearbox, then compared with thegear meshing frequency of the eight-shifts transmission, verified the materials choice and the results design of the gear and gearbox is appropriate. |
