The Face-gear drive is a new type of gear transmission,which is applied to the aerospace field due to its high coincidence degree and good carrying capacity.Face-gear in the actual transmission process will be affected by friction,damping,different working conditions and other factors,and it will be different from the ideal meshing transmission state in the no load.At the present stage,most of the studies have not considered many external factors.Moreover,the dynamic meshing problem of Face-gear is a complex nonlinear dynamic contact problem.Therefore,this article across the Face-gear dynamic meshing properties and inherent characteristics to do further research and discussion.The main research contents are as follows:(1)The machining process of face gear is simulated.Based on the machining principle,the equation of the cutter and Face-gear tooth surface is established.According to the meshing relationship between the Face-gear and the straight-toothed cylindrical gear,the effective tooth width of the Face-gear is calculated.The coordinate point of the Face-gear tooth surface is obtained by MATLAB programming,and the single tooth model of the Face-gear is established.Finally,the 3D solid model of the meshing of Face-gear and straight-toothed cylindrical gear is established by using PRO/E.(2)Based on the dynamics principle and the finite element theory,the finite element analysis model of the dynamic meshing of Face-gear is established by using the ABAQUS finite element software,the force cloud picture of the Face-gear at different time is obtained.At the same time,three parts of Face-gear tooth top,middle tooth and tooth root are selected for finite element analysis.The influence of the inertia load,damping,friction coefficient and different working conditions on the Face-gear meshing performance is also analyzed,and the corresponding rules are obtained.(3)The modal analysis of the Face-gear model is carried out,and the natural frequency,mode and maximum deformation of the first ten order of the Face-gear in the static state are obtained.The influence of thepressure angle and the aperture of the Face-gear on the natural frequency and the maximum deformation of the Face-gear is studied,and the corresponding rules are obtained.
