With the progress of technology and development of human society, the high-rise buildings come into being. The high-rise buildings solve the problem of land resources effectively, but also create new areas of high-rise buildings. The kind of structure system of high-rise buildings is also increasing, for example, the reinforced concrete structure framework, frame-shear, shear, framework-core tube, tube-in-tube, tube, frame-supported shear wall structure with large space of bottom, chassis tower structure with large carrier, multi-tube structure, framework-core tube with strengthened stories, connected structure, the giant structure, cantilevered structures, as well as split-level structure and so on. As for high-rise buildings, controlling horizontal displacement is particularly important, which requires improving structural rigidity. And setting strengthened stories can decrease horizontal displacement of framework-core tube.According to analysis on the total mode of reinforced concrete framework-core tube with strengthened stories, the mechanical action of framework-core tube with strengthened stories which is critical structural member are researched especially in this dissertation. The main aspects of content are listed as follows:1. This dissertation makes the response spectrum analysis on a typical reinforced concrete framework-core tube with strengthened stories by ETABS, software for analysis and design of building. It can be known that setting a strengthened story on near top of0.6H of the structure is the most effective method to control cycle and drift; a reasonable value of the stiffness of the strengthened layer can be most effective; considering architectural features, the number of strengthened layer should not be too much, quantity is not everything.2. This dissertation makes the response spectrum analysis on a typical reinforced concrete framework-core tube with strengthened stories by ETABS, software for analysis and design of building. It can be got that setting strengthened stories can improve shear lag effect of corner column of bottom layer to a certain extent. According to the study on strengthened stories’ location, stiffness and number, this dissertation makes out corresponding conclusions.3. There are two programs:no strengthened story and one strengthened story in chapter6. Using PKPM elastic-plastic seismic analysis procedures—pushover to analyze the two programs, it can be known that the force of no strengthened story program is relatively uniform, plastic hinge appears more reasonable, and the ductility is better, the program of one strengthened story can assume earthquake loading ability, consume more seismic and improve seismic capacity.In this dissertation, the work aimed at the research on horizontal strengthened stories’location, stiffness and number to prove benefits and drawbacks for framework-core tube structure with strengthened stories.
