As important infrastructures, lifting jacks play a major role in the train maintenance for lifting the bogies and the car-body of single locomotive or the whole train, making it convenient for maintenance technician to carry out the vehicle maintenance. Due to the high air tightness and the non-disassembly maintenance, EMU(Electric Motor Train Unit)and metro trains, especially the new EMU as long as400meters, set a higher requirement for the synchronous lifting capacity of lifting jacks. This paper launched a set of research that focused on the synchronous control method of speed control system of lifting jacks.Firstly, the control methods of the synchronous drivering technology of lifting jacks, both at home and abroad were analyzed. The control method of synchronous transmission that based on the principle of electric axis (electric synchronous rotation system) was proposed. The system scheme based on boost chopping and active inverter technique was selected after analyzing the functional requirement of the system and the advantages and disadvantages of typical electric synchronous transmission method. Analysis and verification as well as dynamic modeling simulation were carried out on the selected system parameters on the working conditions of the system.Secondly, according to the selected program, the hardware circuits of a converter in lifting jacks for a single locomotive were studied. The circuit board was designed and the hardware circuit PCB (Printed Circuit Board) board was manufactured and tested. Considering the difficulties in development and the operation reliability of the system, the thesis selected the four-quadrant rectifier of industrial grade active inverter. According to the hardware circuits of the converter, the controlling software was compiled and the testing of the hardware-so ft ware was completed.Then, for converter, the functional requirement of the service software in PC was studied. According to the communication protocols of the communication interface, the service program of PC interface was written and the joint testing where the program of PC interface and the speed control software were met was completed. In order to realize wireless remote control of the converter for the operator in short distance, the communication between converter and PC was in Bluetooth Wireless Communication mode.Finally, the functions of the entire speed control system were tested on simulation environment working conditions of lifting jacks. The results of test showed that the synchronous transmission system proposed in this paper could achieve the expected purpose of the study. Its circuit was very simple and the system was reliable. It could feed the redundant power on rotor side back to the power network. It also could calibrate the electric power to some extent. It could meet the working requirements of the synchronous transmission of lifting jacks. The related synchronous lifting technology was also widely used in many industries outside the rail.
