The Seats Research In The Chinese Landscape

In order to improve public environmental quality and people’s living standard,lots of gardens were constructed in cities. The construction of the landscape is not onlybeautiful and pleasing, more important is really convenient to the resident, and help tothen for better public entertainment activities. In landscapes, the most intimate contactand interactive with people is public seats. It is not only service facilities, but also away of reflecting public arts, conveying urban culture, scientific and technologicallevel, local customs, and so on. The comfortable and graceful shape seats are able toattract the public to sit, and to extend the talking time when people stay here, and topromote the emotional exchanges. The landscape seats plays an important role in the inharmonious interpersonal, landscaping and urban culture transmission.Through the research of "human" physiological comfort requirements andpsychological emotional needs for landscape seats, this paper expounds that thelandscape seats play an essential role, the purpose is to draw people especiallygovernment, garden planners and designers pay more attention on the seats. First,through the analysis of the development of landscape seats at home and abroad to findthe existing problems in our country’ s landscape seats currently and analyze thecorresponding reasons. Then from the "people-oriented" design concept, and art designfor the direction, starting to think about design method and carrying space which willbe easily accepted by people for the landscape seats——Space layout design wherecan be sit and rest.
