Research On The Effect Of Condition Of Illumination On Operation Safety In Marshalling Station

Railway Marshalling Station is the base of traffic flow gather-disperse and train sorting and marshalling, in which workers work day and night. Condition of illumination at night plays a crucial role in operational safety in the marshalling station. At present, although the task assumed by the marshalling station in China is increasing year by year, the condition of illumination has not been improved correspondingly. Therefore, based on the domestic and foreign research achievements, the paper analyzed existing light condition in marshalling station, proposed lighting safety indicators, with which the influencing factors have been quantitatively analyzed, and then the analysis process of lighting conditions on operation safety has been summarized according to code for design of railway electric power and reaction time of mesopic vision theory.The second chapter of the paper analyzed existing light condition in marshalling station, researched on the operation at night, on which the condition of illumination influence, and determined the shunting yard as the research emphasis. On this basis, the type of illumination lamps and lanterns as well as arrangement mode has been analyzed.The third chapter of the paper analyzed visual characteristics of the workers on the basic of mesopic vision theory, and then lighting safety indicators have been proposed to evaluate the condition of illumination from the view of visual function and comfort of the workers. Borrowed the experimental data of reaction time on the background brightness of400W electronic ballast for high-pressure sodium lamps, which were measured by previous, to make regression analysis. Then, the function between reaction time and background brightness was determined and the appropriate illuminate range as well.The forth chapter of the paper discussed the field effect of illuminance in marshalling station and calculation method adopter by DIALux. On the basis, the fifth chapter of the paper summarized the process of lighting conditions on operation safety in marshalling station, taking HengYang north marshalling station as the analysis example. Calculated the value of each parameter, of which the influencing factors were also been analyzed quantitatively. Finally, the condition of illumination was evaluated and the improvement suggestions were proposed.
