From the ending of1990s, as the development of higher education of our country enters a prime period, the colleges and universities expand enrollment and school construction project emerge in an endless stream. With the growing prosperity of construction projects in Colleges and universities, a lot of problems such as project investment, cost control occur. Project final accounts exceed the budget, the budget exceeds budgetary estimate, budgetary estimate exceeds estimate. These are so called serious "super three problems". In the past10years, these construction projects often appear. In recent years, large-scale construction has been completed in many colleges and universities, but with the farther development of colleges and universities construction project cannot catch up with it,so under the situation of limited funds and on the other hand,school construction cannot be neglected,we should pay more attention to the construction project cost management.Through the applied research of A college student dormitory17,18’building construction project cost management practice, The author discusses the project decision, design, bidding, construction and completion settlement’ cost management practice at each phase, applies system theory, management theory, organization structure design method, project scope management, work breakdown structure (WBS) technology and methods, project cost management theory and method and puts forward:Based on the construction of good project organization structure and project group all-around cost management system, the conclusion is made as follows:project cost management needs to establish a perfect project group, make clear a target, the whole project planning, the role conversion of project team members at different stages of the implement of the project,and using the integration of the whole process cost management method of cost management to achieve effective control of project cost effect. At the same time, further research is put forward how to carry out cost management on the project; because the person is the most active factor, how to make people play better in all aspects;how to establish and improve the comprehensive cost management and so on.
