This thesis focuses on studying the design of medium and small railway passenger station building’s roof compatible with the external environment. Using theoretical research and case study methods, this thesis conducted in-depth investigation and research on the design of railway passenger station building’s roof compatible with the external environment in the field of small and medium railway station architectural design. This thesis was trying to exploratory propose and describe the design strategy of the design of railway passenger station building’s roof compatible with the external environment. according to Study on the theory of architecture associated with roof design which contains urban design, building technology, and architectural expression of regional cultural, using the core concepts of today’s architectural design of railway passenger station, which is "Humanism" and "Sustainability", form the starting point for the design principles of the design of medium and small railway passenger station building’s roof compatible with the external environment, establish relevant to the design elements of the roof compatible with the external environment.
