Research On The Application Of Modern Building Material In Regional Expression

Faced with the impact of globalization and the problems posed by the rapid development, economic interests tend to be excessive expansion, which results in the pursuit of luxury and novelty in architecture as well as the loss of the traditional local architecture and culture. In this case, it becomes more and more important to focus on the regionalism. Meanwhile, with the development of the times, applications of modern building materials range more widely due to their excellent properties. As a kind of basis of architecture, modern building materials should also become an important factor in regional expression.This paper focuses on regionalism and modern building materials, and discusses these two concepts with their forms and attributes to conduct an in-depth interpretation and analysis. On this basis, different elements of architectural features are introduced to the further analysis of the connection between modern building materials and regional expression, in the view of function, technology and image of architecture. Then, from the viewpoint of both natural environment and historical culture, a large number of specific cases of the modern building materials applied in the construction of regional architecture, which strengthens the understanding of the regionalism. Finally, based on the creativity, continuity and suitability of modern building materials in the process of regional expression, this paper summarizes there design strategies of the practical application of the material materials in regional architecture and the instructions to our country.
