Nowadays, with the rapid socio-economic development, there is a significant increase in the number of urban vehicles, and it has a increasing pressure on the urban transport, while exhaust emissions and noise of vehicle also has caused pollution on the environment. The development of urban rail transportation to ease traffic pressure has become an inevitable trend. It is precisely because of above factors, urban rail transit must also have the following characteristics:a great capacity and light weight of vehicles; frequently starting and braking; good capacity of small-radius curve; low noise.Single-axle bogie can be used to meet the technical requirements of the above perfectly. Single axle bogie is unconventional compared with conventional two-axle bogie, and it is newborn things. Single axle bogie can make the reduction of vehicle weight and the force between the wheel and the rail in wheel-rail system, and it also can make the reduction of noise and improvement of the curve running capacity, above all they are complete inherent capacities of coupled single-axle bogie. The successful application in some countries or regions provides a useful insight for research and development of a new type of bogie and vehicle. As a result of coupled single-axle bogie in the reduction of weight and energy efficiency, it has bright prospects. The technology has been widespread concern in the industry and it has been established as one of the research topic on the railway to improve energy efficiency and long-term development strategy in the UIC. In order to meet growing market demand, the single axle bogie of the theoretical research, testing and product development has become an urban rail vehicles topic(including rail vehicles) in the field of new topics.In chapter I Papers make a brief introduction of the use of coupled single-axle running gears, prepare for the next work.In chapter II papers discuss the overall program of coupled single-axle bogie, and make the choice of the coupling mechanism, as well as the main technical parameters of the whole bogie.In chapter III and chapter IV, papers anlysis the force of the bogie态wheelset and coupled mechanism, and get the best parameters through optimization. And then anlysis the dynamic of the vehicle which have a coupled mechanism, it turned out that this new single axle bogie have a good performance on on almost all curves.
