By investigating and researching internal and external fire characteristics of rapid rise fire, developing devices for the rapid rise fire-resistance test and selecting typical fire protection materials for structural elements, such as:fire-resistant coating on indoor thick steel structure, fire-resistance coating for tunnel, and fire-resistance board for tunnel. Related components have been developed According to Requirements of GB14907-2002and GA98-2005; Fire protection materials selected have been constructed and maintained by instructions of the product construction.Through investigation and research on rapid rise fire temperature rise curve, choosing several fire-resistance test temperature rise curves as the temperature rise curve in our test and research. In condition of same fire-resistance test elements and different temperature rise curves, having the fire-resistance test on the components by measuring the internal temperature, then obtaining the fire resistance of the corresponding indicator (Time), and analyzing the relation between fire-resistance of steel components and the section steel perimeter ratio of Hp/A. After having a number of tests, analyzing test data, the conclusions have been drawn as following:1、The fire-resistance of same test components is different as temperature rise curves are different, while other conditions are totally same. The sharper the rise curve, the lower the fire-resistance of test components.2、The fire-resistance of beam is higher than the column, in accordance with the fire-resistance of steel components inversely proportional to section factor, namely, while column Hp/A>beam Hp/A, thus fire-resistance t column <tbeam.3、Whether the formulation of building fire standard, implementation of fire-proofing test methods or the design of building fire-proof, the different fire characteristics should be distinguished at different possible fire locations and corresponding fire-proof design should be done in connection with different fire locations, more importantly, the proper connotation of regulating fire-resistance should be given.4、There is still a large gap between the current situations regulated in the standard of fire-resistance test and factual fire. Therefore, it’s very fundamental and necessary to draw up standards of corresponding fire-resistance test methods according to different fire types, thus to optimize effectively the current standard system.The research project will provide scientific and reliable research verification for design of fire-resistance protection on possible occasions of rapid rise fire (such as hydrocarbon fires), and laid a solid foundation for the drawing up of standard GA714-2007,Simultaneously, also promote more in-depth research in China fire field. Thus. the social benefit and economic benefit created are immeasurable.
