Research On Application Of Ordered Evacuation In Campus Emergencies

This paper firstly simply overviews on international and domestic researches status-in-quo and analysis on personnel evacuation, then analyses on the constitution of evacuation time theoretically and empirically, and researches on the personnel’s misplay during fire evacuation from buildings and analyses on the relationship between the personnel’s density and evacuation flow quantity.This paper analyses the ordered evacuation that it can reduce the evacuation time and increase the escape chance in the fixed term of a specific building; The ordered evacuation can decrease the panics and misplay of people during the fire evacuation, then ensure the correctness of personnel’s judgment and behavior and therefore realize the safety; and the ordered evacuation can control the flow density to avoid as much as possible the aggregation of people during the evacuation, and can optimize the evacuation flow quantity. Based upon such analyses, the significance and the constitution of ordered evacuation are illustrated, which provides the reference for establishment of ordered evacuation.Then, the paper analyses on the features, social responsibility, buildings and personnel in the campus. Furthermore, the personnel feature, the behavior ability and psychological traits of a personnel in campus have been analyzed, which concludes that the ordered evacuation in the campus is much more important. This paper also analyzed the differences of campus from other types of places with large scale high personnel density. The conclusion is that the ordered evacuation in campus is more feasible and effective.While this paper also provides some cases on simulation to find out some problems possibly encountered to the ordered evacuation in campus during emergencies. Through two scenarios of evacuation ordered and non-ordered in a simulation in a specific engineering case, the results show that the measures taken to achieve the ordered evacuation can play the critical role during emergencies in campus; meanwhile, the paper provides some reference for establishment of processes for ordered evacuation in campus.
