With society development and science and technology improvement, the structure of railway passenger station becomes more complex. In addition, passenger transport facilities and the related service subsidiary equipment are more complex and the numbers of people that the stations can hold become more and more than before. Which bring many challenges to us, especially in personnel evacuate in fires. Recently, with the completion of the major public places and big passenger station, there is an increasing demand for efficiency of safe evacuation from stations; therefore research of safe evacuation in fire in passenger station is necessary.The elements to influence evacuation in fire is analyzed in this paper, which includes visitors flow rate, flow density, flow speed and the space structure of buildings, while the influence on evacuation time and evacuation paths by location of the fire area in space is researched. In addition, this paper created the computation model on evacuation time of each unit and analyzed the characteristics of the evacuation equipment, what’s more, the emergency evacuation management and the emergency organization system is discussed, which provides the calculating basis for determining the total evacuation capacity and the bottleneck of evacuation capacity of stations in fires.
