Vehicle industry rapid developments cause a series of vehicle safety issues. At present, there has not been a complete and universal solution for Vehicle safety monitoring and early warning. Existing vehicle safety monitoring systems are mostly integrated in auto PC, generally equipped with higher-end vehicles, single function, large size, high power consumption, poor universal, expensive and difficult to replace and upgrade. With revitalization of national transport and logistics industry and increase of car ownership, the driver continues to increase; the demand for vehicle safety monitoring products is also increasing rapidly. Therefore, It has became the key issues to be solved in the field of vehicle safety to design and develop a fully functional and affordable vehicle safety monitoring products.This design uses multi-functional and high-integration embedded platform OMAP3530which based on TI DaVinci technology and ARM+DSP dual-core architecture as the core processor. Combined with its powerful and rich on-chip resources, develops hardware circuits, including the Man-machine interactive module, Sensor module, Camera module, GSM module, GPS module, the data transmission module and power module. Each module circuit, respectively, has made necessary test experiments and data analysis. The final hardware modules are integrated to an entirety, and then tested with Linux system and QT software.This paper develops the hardware platform of embedded vehicle safety monitoring system, which functions are Driving Safety Warning, Car/Cargo Anti-theft and Anti-Robbery, Traffic Accident Automatic Helping, Vehicle Locating and Tracking. These functions make it easy and safe to driving. At the same time, this study breaks through the traditional of vehicle-mounted computer integrated mode, develops independent portable vehicle safety monitoring system, is widely used in all kinds of vehicles, help to advance auxiliary productization process of vehicle safety driving technology in our country. Therefore, this design has important practical significance and significant social value.
