People travels more and more frequently in modern cities, rail transport system has its own advantages compared to other ways, still has the highest rate of use of all different transportation systems. With the development of rail passenger transport, the urban transportation system change, the Railway Station Square and the surrounding areas, have great changes in functional organization, spatial forms, increasingly become urban space of the city which penetrate each other public space.Wind Environment of Railway Station Square and the surrounding dense area, whether the heat, pollutants can effectively discharge, have a direct impact on the comfort of passengers and urban residents. And outdoor wind environment is the premise of indoor ventilation, which has influence on building energy consumption.In view of the above situation, this paper selects the Railway Station Square and the surrounding dense area as the object of study, uses theoretical analysis, computer simulation and field measurement methods, to study the wind environment characteristics, problems and the improvement measures. At the same time, the Railway Station Square open space and green landscape space can play a regulatory role on the surrounding wind environment; another focus of this article is the development strategy. The paper is divided into the following sections:First, sort out the basic characteristics of the Railway Station Square and the surrounding dense area. And based on the basic principles of analysis of wind environment, analyze the impact of various elements of on the overall wind environment in the region.Second, sum up the basic layout of the common Railway Station Square and the surrounding dense area, based on the morphological characteristics and the type of division. This part uses the CFD methods to simulate the wind environment of the cases in different wind directions. Then research the overall wind characteristics of the environment of the Railway Station Square and the surrounding dense area.Then, based on the Railway Station Square and the surrounding dense area wind environment characteristics, this part focuses on the poorly ventilated area and the well-ventilated area of further improvement. Including roads, squares, the shape of the surrounding buildings, the layout, scale, and other related strategies.Finally, select the specific case of the Wuchang Railway Station, using a combination of field measurement and computer simulation tools to analyze the characteristics of the wind environment in this region and the corresponding optimization strategy, and uses the simulation to verify the results after the strategies.
