| With the growing popularity of the automobile, drivers’concerning about the cars’performance is becoming more and more intense. The automobile performance, not only affects the cars’handling and stability, comfort, fuel economy, the fatigue damage of key parts, but also plays a key role in ensuring traffic safety. For automobile manufacturers, simulation technology is also widely used in the preliminary design of new models. Experiments is improved by the simulation results, the simulation process is guided by the experimental data, and it is achieved that the experiment, combined with the virtual simulation tools participate and guide the processing of analysis, optimization and improvements of vehicle design parameters.In this paper, applying the multi-body system dynamics theory, the front and rear suspension subsystems, stabilizer bar, body subsystem, steering subsystem, tires, road subsystem are built and assembled into the multi-body dynamics model by the use of ADAMS software. Firstly, by the dynamic simulation and optimization of the suspension system, the sensitivity analyses of the hard-point coordinates of suspension characteristics is achieved, and combined with the simulation results, the optimization program of suspension system is obtained. By comparing the original and the optimal results, the program is verified. Secondly by exploring the coincidence degree between the natural frequency of twist beam and the excitation frequency of the vehicle, the reasonableness of the twist beam structural design is verified.Based on actual vehicle parameters, the full vehicle’virtual prototype model is established. According to the handling and stability test standards of actual vehicle, the model hasp reformed the pylon course slalom experiment, the steady-state rotation experiment, the steering wheel return ability test simulation, Steering wheel angle step input simulation, Steer wheel angle pulse input simulation, according to the national standards, the vehicles’handling and stability performance is evaluated. Take the transient response experiment as an example, investigating how the suspension spring,shock absorber’ characteristics,the guiding structure and the matching of the front and rear suspension’frequency affect the vehicle’performance, at last the supported theory of optimization method of vehicle performance based on the chassis tuning is obtained. |
