In recent years, modern shipbuilding mode process is promoted in the shipbuilding industry of our country. The important condition to develop modern shipbuilding mode is vigorously promoting digital shipbuilding, including digitalization of ship design, manufacture and production management etc. Now, digital shipbuilding has been used in ship design, but digital shipbuilding equipment has to be developed. Among them, digital process of mould bed, equipment of section assembly and welding, is slowly. Therefore, this paper will do the related research according to this problem.Through consulting and tracking the domestic and foreign relevant research, analyzing the requirements of mould bed automation for digital shipbuilding and concluding structure form and characteristics of existing general mould bed, the author of this paper new function conditions of mould bed according with digital shipbuilding equipments. On the basis of above research, the author designs a new general NC mould bed and gives a solution to realize digitization of mould bed.This NC mould bed design is based on function requirements of general NC mould bed, giving several feasible preliminary design scheme of mould bed structure and evaluating every scheme with multi-factor fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method to select the best scheme. The main structure size design of mould bed uses50~100thousand DWT ship section as application object. Considering the adaptation of hull section curve, production conditions of section assembled, convenient operation, safety and reliability of mould bed adjust, the requirement of the operation worker culture and technical level, and mould bed manufacturing costs, mould bed is divided into actuating mechanism and support institutions designed separately. The structure of this NC mould bed is not only satisfied for NC requirement but also ensuring operation consistency with mechanical adjusting when happening sudden emergencies such as power outage.This paper mainly designs the structure of NC mould bed, checking the strength and stability of mould bed structure, the biggest loads is analyzed to provide basis for loading section. A stern block of50500DWT chemical carrier built in a large shipbuilding enterprises of our country is chosen to analysis load of mould bed.Proposing initial ideas of control system, control system designed from two aspects, one is design of hardware system, the other is design of control program. In the selection of control system, the electrical control system is considered to choose initially, the control system structure is designed simply and some initial ideas of control program are put forward.Limited to research level and research conditions, this paper has many imperfections, such as section model is simplified when checking mould bed strength, only proposing initial idea to control system, mould bed application validation etc. All this requires deeply and continuous research.
