The flywheel battery because of its high energy density, the instantaneous power,charging time is short, high energy conversion efficiency and long service life, usedfor energy storage, as opposed to the battery has a distinct advantage. The flywheelbattery in the stand-alone wind power system, the flywheel battery in parallel with thewind power system DC bus and the DC bus voltage has stabilized at a given valuenear the flywheel battery charge and discharge control effectively improve the powerquality of wind energy utilization efficiency and system.This article first detailed analysis of the flywheel energy storage systemequivalent dq model circuit, and on this basis, simplifying the equivalent dq model ofthe flywheel energy storage system; flywheel battery charge and discharge controlstrategy. Flywheel battery charging control process, based on rotor magnetic fieldoriented vector control strategy; discharge control process, the DC bus voltage controlstrategy for the control object. In addition, the flywheel battery discharge controlstrategy uses the principle of balancing power.On the basis of theoretical analysis, to build a flywheel battery charge anddischarge control system dsPIC30F3011as the core controller hardware circuit, adetailed introduction of the charge control system hardware circuit and The flow chartof software design, and then in the MATLAB/Simulink platform to build theflywheel battery charge and discharge control system simulation model and off-gridwind power systems, wind power system when the wind speed suddenly increases ordecreases the system to join the flywheel battery and do not join the flywheelbatteryboth cases, a simulation study.
