With the rapid development, environmental pollution, food contamination is more and more serious, while people work tension, pressure, the movement is less and less, so there is more and more patients in hospital, the ward is often in short supply. As the complexity of patients in the ward, air quality and comfort is paid more and more attention. By simulation of airflow in general wards, airflow distribution under various airflow organization can be found out and effectiveness of ventilation can be determined, which provids theoretical guidance to the general ward ventilation airflow organization.Cooling load in a general ward in Hefei in summer was caculated. Air volume required for the ward ventilation and air speed were obtained by caculation. Indoor temperature and supply air temperature were set. Different simulated operating conditions and different airflow patterns were set:upper air inlet and lower air outlet, upper air inlet and upper air outlet, lower air inlet and upper air outlet airflow patterns. For the above three airflow patterns, under the conditions of the same airflow volume and air temperature, by using software AirPak airflow velocity contours, temperature contours, PMV-PPD distribution map were simulated and drawn out. The simulation results have certain guiding significance for airflow pattern selection of general ward in hospital.First, the importance of the airflow organization in a general ward are analysised, second, the review of domestic and foreign organizations on the ward airflow are researched, finally the case of a general ward in Hefei are choosed to analysis air distribution. There are three factors to describe the indoor airflow:the effectiveness of the air supply and discharge of pollutants in the effectiveness and thermal comfort, the first two factors can be seen through the results of the air age of its effectiveness, comfort can be integrated by temperature, speed, PMV-PPDThe results show that:1.Useing the up-supply and down-return airflow organization, the average indoor temperature is24.54°C, the average speed is0.092m/s, the air age of the height where the patient lying down is200s to630s.2. Using the up-supply and up-return airflow organization, the average indoor temperature is25.25℃, the average speed is0.117m/s, the air age of the height where the patient lying down is200s to600s3. Using the down-supply and up-return airflow organization, the average indoor temperature is24.69°C, the average speed of0.086m/s, the air age of the height where the patient lying down is500s-700s.In summary, the up-supply and down-return airflow organization, is more suitable for summer hospital ventilation requirements.
