The hoisting machinery was widely used in all walks of life, reducing the heavy manual labor and improving operational efficiency. It was an important and indispensable of logistics equipment in the modernization of industrial production. The main girder was the main bearing member and component of bridge crane and its weight and material occupied a large part of the machine. In order to reduce the material consumption and the manufacturing costs of the main girder, more favorable structural form would be adopted. Corrugated web provided a good reference style for the design of the new main girder structure.The corrugated web was an improved form of the common flat web and it could replace the ordinary flat web in a lot of structures, such as corrugated web I-girders and corrugated web box beams. Corrugated web I-girders were widely used in the house beam structure, while the corrugated web box beams were used in more and more bridges. This paper studied corrugated web girder in the application of crane.First, the bending characteristics of corrugated web I-girders were analyzed and researched. In the simply supported boundary conditions, the bending stresses of theoretical calculation formula for web I-beam were summed up under uniform load and concentrated load. Then the bending stresses of theoretical calculation and finite element simulation results were compared to verify the accuracy of the theoretical formula.Secondly, the performance of I-girders combination section beam, H-girders and corrugated web I-girders were comparative analyzed. In terms of stiffness, strength, stability and economic comparison of results, verified the feasibility of corrugated web I-girders in the application of crane.Finally, the performance of the corrugated webs of the box beams was studied. The flexural characteristics, the shear capacity and stability of corrugated web box beams were analyzed when it under track and partial rail loads. Then compared with the flat web box beams and determined the advantage of the corrugated web box beams in the partial rail box beams.
