It’s well known that because of good directional and high energy density the shaped chargejet has good penetration performance, so widely used in many military and civilian fields. However, with the continuous progress of science and technology, how to get high-performancejet becomes an addressing problem. On the other hand, the penetration performance of shapedcharge is closely related to liner material properties, therefore it is a critical issue in thestructure design of a shaped charge that selecting the liner material. This article briefly describes the current resurch status of liner materials, by exploring thevelocity and pressure variation discipline of the liner lamination process in the thicknessdirection did we find that the internal energy can be continuously transferred to the inner withthe liner collapsed to the axis of symmetry, ultimately do make the speed of the inner elementof the liner is greater than the outer layer. It should be noted that the maximum pressure withinthe liner appears at the middle in the thickness direction in this process. Raising thedouble-layer liner design concept by analyzing the shaped charge jet formation, we found thatwhen the acoustic impedance of the outer liner is less than the inner, the detonation pressurewill further enlarge, finally leading to higher speed jet. By simulating the jet formation processdid we find that the double-layer liner design can effectively improve the speed of the jet head, and can be increased by about20%when the shaped charge structure is unchanged. On theother hand, the inner liner almost completely formed the jet, which greatly improved theutilization of liner materials. The simulation result shows that the double-layer liner design caneffectively improve the performance of the jet penetration, and the maximum penetration depthof the AL-Cu liner,AL-Tan liner and AL-W liner jet respectively improved16%,22%and30%than single Cu liner,Tan liner and W liner.Double-layer liner design not only improves the utilization of shaped charge linermaterials, but also enhances the penetration performance of the jet, and therefore worthy offurther research.
