This thesis first summarizes the role and developing status of electrical load monitoring terminal both in China and in foreign countries, The implementation method and technology is also investigated, At last, an electrical load monitoring terminal, which is in accordance with the technical requirement of JiangXi bureau of electricity is designed and implemantated. The main research points in this thesis includes electrical energy measurement, remote automatic meter reading method, embedded system design, GPRS wireless communication.The designed terminal is an embedded system based on ARM processor and Linux OS. The ARM processor has advantages in data processing ability and resources addressing mode.This proposed system takes full use of the multi-task ability and portability of embedded operating system. The communication subsystem adopts always-on GPRS networks, which is less expensive, This terminal have strong advantages in efficiency, processing capability、 communication capacity and economic benefits.In this thesis, function demands of the terminal are analyzed at first, and then the hardware platform、 software functions hardware drivers are implemented based on Linux OS are implemented. Priority task scheduling mechanism is used to meet the real-time requirements of terminal.This thesis is organized into five chapters.In Chapter One, research background、status and tendency in remote electrical load monitoring terminal、research meanings and main points of the theis are introduced.In Chapter Two, the content is mainly on data acquisition method and the application of electrical energy measuring IC ATT7022A.In Chapter Three, this thesis analyzes the advantages of embedded system in electrical load monitoring system and verifies the feasibility of the proposed system schema. According to the technical and precision requirements of JiangXi bureau of electricity, the hardware components and software development environment chosen for the development of the electronic load monitoring embedded system are elaborated.In Chapter Four, the hardware including ARM processor and peripheral circuits are implemnted. The emphasis is on system configuration、 electrical energy monitoring model and the peripheral circuits.In Chapter Five, the hsoftware for the terminal is implemnted. The emphasis is on the building of the embedded Linux platform for electrical load management terminal, which provides an environment for the application program development.The conclusuion summarizes this thesis and points out futher research points of this thesis.
