The integration of Power Load Management System and Distribution Dispatch Automation System, promotes the modernization of power grid's management, and improves the practical level of power dispatch automation and power marketing management's modernization. This paper generally introduces the concept and development of Power Load Management System, as well as the characteristics of the load management master station, the communication channel and the load management terminal. On this basis, this paper designs a new load management terminal unit, which is based On the DSP chip of TMS320F2812.What is more, the method of designing, the component of hardware and the frame of software are explained indetail, and some circuit diagrams and software flow charts are given. This paper analyses the functions of the load management terminal at first, and then explains the operation principle and design content of hardware modules in detail, including power module, data acquisition module, control module, communication module and human-machine interface module. This paper designs the whole framework of software with real-time task scheduling , and divides the whole software into some function modules concretely, then explains the realization of real-time acquisition of analog signals, FFT algorithm analysis, load monitoring, remote meter recording and human-manchine interaction. In the end, this paper makes a detailed statement of the design of embedded GPRS communication, and mainly explains the realization of GPRS device drivers, GPRS communication protocol and power load management protocol.
