| With the improvement of the functional requirements of the vehicle, the traditionaltechnology of electronic is only limited to electro-control some mechanical spare componentsin the automobile, which is not only simple and huge, but also backward comparatively.Otherwise more and more switches adopted in the body accessories are the prime factors tocomplicate the layout of harness in the automobile. Using bus technology not only can save anumber of wiring harness and space, but also improve system reliability, ease of systemupgrades and diagnostics. Bus technology now becomes an important direction for thedevelopment of automotive electronics. CAN-bus is one of the most widely used buses,CAN-bus technology enables the further development of automobile industry in our country,it also can reduce costs, and expand market occupancy.CAN means Controller Area Network, it is a serial communication network whichsupport for distributed and real-time control. CAN is a multi-master mode serialcommunication bus. The basic design specification requires high bit rate and high resistanceto electromagnetic interference, meanwhile can detect any error. While the signaltransmission distance reach10KM, CAN bus can provide up to50k bit/s data transfer rate.Electronic window control system is an important part of automotive body electronics,reflecting the requirements of safety, comfort and convenience. The main research content ofthis paper is the design of window control ECU based on CAN-bus. This paper at firstintroduces CAN-bus, then analyzes its characteristics, hierarchical structure andcommunication process.The design is based on the CAN J1939protocol bus technology, andthen analysis the operating principle and characteristics of power window central door locks,mirror heating, turn signal and lighting control, electric horn which are contained in the carwindow control ECU. Also proposed the general design and block diagram of the windowcontrol ECU which is based on the applications of CAN bus. The hardware chip we used isMicrochip company’s PIC18F4580-1/PT. Based on the general design, this paper design thehardware of main control module, window motor and lock motor control, remote door lock module, mirror control module and power module. Meanwhile analyzes the software featuresof window control ECU and its software design. At last, we have the ECU performance test,the test results meet the national standards.
