Underground pipe network, which has the function of water supply and drainage, energy and information transmission, is an important part of city infrustructure.It is the economic lifeline on which the city relies for suivival and development.The traditional operation method of underground pipe network:excavation, which people jokingly called "disembowel",has great limitations, such as:having great effect on the transportation and destroying the surrounding environment etc. Non-excavation operation is modernized operation technology and method.which detects, inspects,recovers,replaces and lays various kinds of underground pipes without excavating the surface of the ground by making use of drilling and tunneling technology.The main advantages are not holding up the traffic, having small effects on environment and can be operated where the excavation operation can’t and not allowed to be operated.Non-excavation operation is an advanced, flexible and practical with good benefit operation method, which has a promising prospect.Every operation method has certain effect on the environment. Whether the effect of jacking engineering is within the accepted range is one of the important topic of present research.This article,which takes the river Shiwuli in Hefei’s pollution cutting engineering as the background, applies the integrated researching method of theoretical analysis, numerical simulation and insitu testing technology, analizes the jack engineering to the soil disturbance. The specific research details are in the following:1. Based on the research situation, analyzes the mechanism for deformation for the surface of the earth and further analyzes and studies the regular pattern caused by Pipe Jacking.2. Uses the formula calculation procedure as the platform and based on Midline’s solution theory, compares with the In-situ monitoring data, further verify the reliability for calculating Pipe Jacking’s causing soil and surrounding rock body deformation.3. By using Three-dimensional finite element analysis software, simulates the Pipe Jacking construction.Analyzes the regular pattern under different factors which influences soil displacement.4. According to the simulated construction process for Pipe Jacking passing through structures by Three-dimensional finite element analysis software,analyses the main factors which influenced underground soil displacement and deformation pattern for the ground and structures under various factors by Pipe Jacking construction. Finally, summarizes the research results and makes a brief discussion for the problems which need to be solved.
