With the rapid development of economic construction, road engineering especially highway is developing in unprecedented speed and go through the mountains. Cutting slopes are formed inevitable in the constructions and its failure is most common. The stability of bedding cutting slope is mainly depended on the characteristics of weak structure plane and the influence of blasting effect in the process blasting excavation, especially when weak layers in the internal of rock mass, the blasting effect is particularly significant. It is very important to analyze correctly its stability under the consideration of blasting gas along the layer of rock slope.The paper researches bedding cutting rock slope in the route, based on the first contract section K0+000-K0+650of Yunnan Puxuan highway, which combined with the project of Yunnan transportation hall called research of controlling technology about bedding cutting slope stability.(1) Firstly, Geological survey data are used to summarize the geological characters and the reinforcement form of bedding cutting rock slope. The failure factors are analyzed to judge the main factors influencing the failure and the possible failure model.(2) Secondly, by analysis of detonation gas wedge level on the slope rock mass produced within the movement and level with service impact, in conventional limit equilibrium method based on consideration of the blast hole gas impact on slope stability, get the quantitative relationship between the stability of the potential slope slide body and the pressure of a gas blast hole blasting.(3) Different supporting measures are taken in the unstable bedding cutting slope in the route, of which reinforcement effect is also different. This paper takes typical cutting worksite project for example, analyze its stability and evaluate the supporting measures.(4) Finally, the evaluation analysis of the shoring design is investigated by the use of UDM of the bedding cutting high rock slope located at the right side of (K0+040-K0+310). The useful suggestions for the excavation of the slope are proposed.
