The bridge is the important part of transportation system in our daily life,although many of the bridge was faced with a series of crises with a longer life cyclein the normal use of the process.To prevent a catastrophic accident, it has became animportant issue to execute health monitoring of the bridge in use.This paper use bridge health monitoring system of a company in Wuhan as theactual reference model, Research remote monitoring and control system based onlabview.Firstly, it presents a brief presentation on the development of virtual instruments,development trends and system architecture; Then compared with the traditionalGeneral Instrument, which highlighted the advantages of virtual instrumenttechnology.Through a detailed description of LabVIEW, there shows the graphicalprogramming software、the advantages of features and programming methods. Thepaper use Yangtze River as an example of a bridge,detailing the importance of healthtesting, and elaborated the important bridge for long-term health monitoring and thenecessary of its periodic evaluation.This article focuses on the bridge deck,s detection process of line、the towerside、 stress、 power cable、 digital temperature、 dynamic weighing and videosurveillance, On this basis, this paper analysis the principle of each subsystem,including the methods、hardware、software writing, and pay attention to such matters,and study the data of transmission, processing and storage.This paper mainly finished the following areas:1. The paper introduces the research background and significance of virtualinstrument technology, and elaborates the current development status at home andabroad of virtual instrument technology and proposed a certain universal virtualinstrument based on the concept of remote monitoring system, and designed amonitoring platform.2.This paper describes the development of domestic and international bridgehealth monitoring and its importance. The result designed of a bridge with a bridgehealth monitoring system as a model, and elaborated each various subsystems of thedata collection、analysis、 processing and storage. 3. The article also introduces a data management system to prepare for long-termprocess to achieve real-time detection of the call record data. then described theconcept of remote control.
