With increasingly consumption of oil and the worsening of human survival environment, energy conservation and environmental protection has attracted a worldwide attention. The harmful material in the exhaust gas from the traditional vehicles is the main source of environmental pollution. So the development of electric vehicles has become the trend in the automotive industry. At present, the key technology in the electric vehicles has not been mature enough. Therefore, it’s very necessary to develop a system to collect and analyze the electric vehicles’data. Based on the research of the slave data acquisition system, this paper adopted the LabVIEW graphical programming language to design and develop the electric vehicle host remote monitoring system based on virtual instrument.LabVIEW is the software development platform from NI. Different from the traditional programming language sentence, all the program code in LabVIEW is various function nodes and data connections, itself has the automatic multithreaded concurrent execution mechanism, so that it can improve the process execution efficiency. At present, virtual instrument has been widely used in control simulation and other industrial areas, and would replace the traditional instruments.This paper designed and developed the electric vehicle host remote monitoring system based on the virtual instrument, which software architecture is based on the LabVIEW "queue state machine-producers consumers" model. The model can avoid large amounts of data connection by using the queue reference, and realize the real-time data acquisition, analysis, display, storage, real-time curve drawing and historical curve drawing by the parallel way; With the programming combined LabVIEW language and C language, the platform can call the API function in the dynamical link library, realize the remote connections and data transmission in the monitoring system and the data acquisition system; With the use of the MathScript node, this paper constructed the Dalian Bus Driving Cycle based on a large number of the bus real-time and original running data by the Matlab language programming and complex algorithm.The real vehicle running results show that the electric vehicle host remote monitoring system is stable and reliable, and has strong practical and extension value.
