In the Water quality monitoring industrial environments, PROFIBUS-DP was used more widespread, but because of the DP chip communication bus used, the majority of the chips was also limited to overseas, its chip development in China is still a relatively good prospects.Technology continues to be evolved based on EDA, FPGA applications continued to be spread, the development of FPGA chips used in communications, applied to water quality monitoring has important practical significance.This paper, design the on-line monitoring of water quality for the system and also gave the researche and the verification, based on the Profibus-DP, FPGA and other hardware and software, this article was made include:First:Analysised the water quality monitoring system for get water and found a feasible solution;Second:Described the FPGA’s application in the industry, a communication protocols chip was designed of the FPGA-based PROFIBUS,with top-down approach, completed the design of the chip;Third:FPGA in the system, was a field of data collection and communications control module, this module was divided into three parts, the physical layer module, the data link layer module, the user-level module. Division for each module,and simulated for each functional module.Forth:the host computer for water quality monitoring conducted a simple database design, to record the current monitoring information and information threshold was exceeded,then gave the alarm;Finally, a brief introduction based on the GSM short message warning was gaven. This design system for water-line monitoring system provided a practical application of technical means.
