Study On Lightning Protection Of Hohhot

In this paper,it analyzed the ways and means of lightning disaster occurred in Hohhot,with the current lightning protection situation,the causes of lightning,the principle of lightning flash to earth,the principle of lightning protection devices,and the unique natural environment in Hohhot. In addition,it described current policies and regulations referred to lightning protection in Hohhot.In this article,it evaluated the risk against lightning in the sale zone of a large depot,which located in Hohhot,then it design the primary lightning protection devices for the zone. In order to ensure the accuracy of the assessment,I collected a lot of information which included the lightning environmental data in the assessment area,geographic construction,and equipment information. At the same time,a series of survey and research are carried out. In the process of risk analysis and assessment,the assessment system,evaluation indicators,baseline,formulas and programs are carefully screened to seek the accurate way. Based on conclusions of the assessment,the potential risk in region is marked clearly,and a corrective program is proposed. Furthermore,the primary lightning program is designed for the area in which the new depots are builded. Including the program,the materials,specifications and installation methods of the air-termination system,down-conductor system and earth-termination system have been made a specific request. Because the area is zone0,zone1and zone10which are explosive environment,some of common lightning protection measures need special treatment,in the design process,the paper also made reference to the associated norms,standards,and strive to make all the things in the zone be protected.At the end of the article,combined with testing,review information of more than500new residential area,more than70factories,and large industrial enterprises. Some problems often encountered in the work are calassificated and analyzed,it seek the root cause of the problem and settlement which have been proved with practice.
