Practice And Exploration On Humanized Design Of Public Space In General Hospitals

With the development of our society and economy，medical Architecture in China areexperiencing three major transformations，namely，medical mode，modern technology andmedical system，which are bound to exert enonmous impact on aspects of functionalstructure，route，space，and relevant values etc. Under the background of the entiremedical pattern “Biology Psychology Society” and proposing the patient-centered medicalconcept，more and more people pay close attention to the humanity design of the hospital’spublic space，who made new and higher demands.Taking several problems in humanized design of large-scale general hospitals as theresearch object, issues related to architecture and psychology are discussed. Proceedingfrom human beings’ needs and humanized design of public space in hospitals, the domesticand foreign architectural principles for humanized design in hospitals are summarized.Through investigation of the actuality of public space and development trend, theenvironmental functions, spaces, streamline, and the users’ behavioral pattern andpsychological needs are analyzed as well. At the same time, this paper studies the diversifiedinfluential factors on humanized design of public space in hospitals, the challenges broughtby social conditions to the hospital architecture, and the possible future development trend.Meanwhile, the following issues are also discussed, including the new changes of hospitalarchitectural space brought by the new medicine mode, new requirements raised on the spaceenvironment by the patients both physically and psychologically, and the new designconcepts, architectural materials and technologies which may help with design of the morehumanized space construction. With all these efforts, it is expected to offer countermeasuresand feasible methods for the humanized design of public space in large-scale hospitals.The article，with the practice projects of my own，for example, Guangzhou women andchildren’s health care center, Guangzhou Luogang central hospital, and Southern medicalUniversity Southern hospital medical building,analyses and investigates about thehumanity design of the hospital’s public space， humanized facilities and their useeffect.With the problems which we meet and solve during the design process，throughtheoretical research and examples comparison method，I find out the most effective wayto do the humanity design of the hospital’s public space in the southern region. The articlewants to provide a mentality and beneficial reference for the future domestic same typedesign.
