A fireproof coating was prepared by using rice hull ash as heat insulation aggregate andusing alkali activated calcined kaolin geopolymer as inorganic binder for the purpose of wasterecyling. Then it was applied to fire-protection of composite slabs filled with demolishedconcrete blocks (DCBs), to verity fire resistance effectiveness in actual fire circumstance. Two parts of research work were involved in this dissertation:1.Preparation of fireproof coating.Three stage experiments were developed in the wholepreparation process. The applicable fireproof coating was optimized from apparentperformance, heat insulation performance, and bond properties. The results show that:(a)The fireproof coating behaved excellent heat insulation performance. The highest temperatureof specimen’s unexposed surface was close to370℃, while temperature of specimen’sexposed surface was close to900℃after undergoing high temperature for4hours with athickness of17mm.(b) Heat insulation performance and cohesion strength of fireproofcoating whose geopolymer binder agented by sodium alkali were better than those agented bypotassium alkali.2.Experimental researches on fire resistance of composite slabs filled with DCBs. Thefire resistance of six concrete composite slabs were tested following the ISO834standardheating process. The influence of replacement ratio of DCBs, load ratio, and thickness offireproof for fire resistance of composite slabs were examined. The results show that:(a)Thefire resistance of the specimen filled with DCBs are similar to those of the specimen withfresh concrete alone.(b) The fireproof coating behave good fire resistance effectiveness.Theduration of fire resistance of the specimen filled with DCBs is much longer than1.5h, withthe protection of fireproof whose thickness is10mm when load ratios is0.50...
