With the rapid development of power electronic technology, switching power suppliesdevelop towards high-frequency, miniaturization and modularization. High-frequency pulsetransformer is an important part of the switching power supply. In order to coordinate with thedevelopment of high-frequency and miniaturization of switching power supply, the frequencyof high-frequency pulse transformer is continually increasing and the volume of it isdecreasing. However, transformers with different frequencies require different transformermodels to describe the operating performance.In recent years, a variety of high-frequency pulse transformer models have beenproposed in a low. These models have promoted the improving of performance analyzing,parameter designing and optimizing for transformers. But they are still not enough exact tosimulate the actual transformers. So this article presents a new measurement method forcalculating the tri-capacitance distribution parameters of high-frequency pulse transformermodels. And lastly an experiment has been taken to verify the above method.This article includes the following contents:Firstly, all the existing distribution parameter models of transformer are classifiedaccording to the number of distributed capacitances in high-frequency pulse transformermodels. The structure, advantages and disadvantages, scope of application of each type oftransformer models are detailed later.Secondly, a research on design methods of transformer has been taken in this article andsome key factors within the methods have been presented. Moreover, a high-frequency pulsetransformer has been made to be a sample for the following measurement of distributionparameters.Thirdly, using the theory of two-port network, this article has analyzed the deducingprocess of calculating the tri-capacitance distribution parameters of high-frequencytransformer models. Then with the calculating method, the tri-capacitance distributionparameters of the above sample transformer have been figured out.Lastly, after having built the transfer function for the high-frequency pulse transformermodel with tri-capacitance distribution parameter, the influence of distribution parameters ontransformer models has been analyzed in detail.
