Shield machine is specialized large-scale construction machinery used for full faceexcavation of the tunnel project. It has the cutting soil excavation, transportation ballast soil,Segment with the tunnel lining, automatic measurement-oriented functions, is a machine,electrical, hydraulic, automatic control technology as one of the intelligent tunnelingequipment. Are large-scale to carry out the tunnel construction, the shield machine marketdemand, not only as soon as possible to improve the domestic shield machine manufacturingtechnology, but also need to constantly improve the design of the shield machine technology,improve the reliability of the shield machine system and intelligence.This paper studies the technology of the shield machine from the following three parts:The first part is mainly through the cutter system, propulsion system, soil output system,segment, assembling systems, and other subsystems on the shield machine works. Thissection not only lays the foundation for the discussion below, but also draws out the core ofthis research project: the cutter multi-motor synchronous control and remote monitoringsystem.The second part focuses on the cutter multi-motor synchronous control technology. Firstof all, discussed the multi-motor synchronous control strategy and synchronous controlmethods commonly used in shield machine based on the cutter synchronous drive features;then, then, learned the advanced experience of multi-motor synchronous control, theapplication of mature power inverter control technology, designed and implemented themulti-motor synchronous control system based on CC-Link fieldbus. The system has beentested in the commissioning and works well on-site excavation. Finally, in order to furtherstudy of multi-motor synchronous control technology, introduced fuzzy theory of intelligentcontrol then established a multi-motor simulation system and a comparison betweentraditional PID control and fuzzy control is given.The third part focuses on the design and implementation of remote monitoring systemfor shield machine. Firstly, introduced the structure of the remote monitoring system, fieldedequipment acquisition and the monitoring system’s functional requirements; then detailed PCmonitoring program’s implementation based on configuration software; Finally, in order to improve the security and reliability of the machine’s shielding, increased a construction faultprediction system in the monitoring system. The system forecasts common type of theconstruction fault by learning the shielding parameters, such as cutter speed, cutter torque, thejack thrust, soil pressure.
