The quantity of wave power, which is clean and renewable, is tremendous. The research of sea wave power generation has large potentialities. This subject is supported by the project of renewable energy sources of State Oceanic Administration "120kW Hydraulic Floating Wave Power Station". The design of this hydraulic wave power station lacks of reference materials. In order to solve this problem, the research of the subject is carried out.Firstly, an overview of domestic and overseas current research situation is given, in which working principle and performance characteristics of domestic and overseas current wave power stations are introduced and the research situation of wave simulation experiment devices are stated. The mechanical structure of hydraulic wave simulation device is designed according to the experimental requirements of engineering model. The hydraulic wave simulation system is designed on the basis of the motion of floating body of engineering model. In order to achieve the best simulation result, the hydraulic power generation system is designed following the same principle as that of the engineering model. The working pressure and flow rate of the hydraulic wave simulation system and hydraulic power generation system are calculated depending on the buoyancy and the rate of the floating body, on the basis of which the piston diameter and the motion limit of wave simulation cylinder and power generation cylinder are calculated, as well as the strength and the stability of them. The hydraulic pump, motor and generator are also selected.The electrical system is designed according to the control requirements of the hydraulic wave simulation system. The PLC program is written in the light of the motion of wave generation cylinder. In order to gather experimental data, including the quantity of the generated power, rotate speed, torque and pressure characteristics of the power generation system, the power display box and power consumption box are devised, the torque, rotate speed and power collection software is selected. The pressure collection software is also designed which uses the online simulation and curve plotting of EB8000cooperating with PLC.The mathematics model of valve-controlled cylinder is deduced and the mathematics models of servo valve, displacement transducer and servo amplifier are established, on the basis of which the mathematics model of hydraulic wave simulation system is obtained. Then the mathematics model of hydraulic wave simulation system is input into MATLAB, by means of which the Bode diagram is obtained. Finally, the stability of the system is analysed, the result indicates that the system meets the Nyquist criterion of stability, which has enough stability margin.Sea wave power generation experiments are carried out on the basis of the achievement above. The experiments discovered the relationships between electricity output of the engineering model and the load. The electricity output can be amplified under certain load. The quality of torque, rotate speed and electricity output is improved using accumulator, and it is discovered that generating efficiency can be raised in the way of enlarging the capacity and lowering the pressure of accumulator. The characteristic curves of pressure of hydraulic power generation system are achieved under different load and wave force. The quality of the pressure of hydraulic power generation system is improved using the method of enlarging the capacity of accumulator.In line with the requirements of engineering model, the characteristic curves of electricity output and the torque and rotate speed are got under five group of floating body buoyancy data. The mean of them are also determined, which are fitted. The fitted equation of buoyancy and generated output, buoyancy and torque, buoyancy and rotate speed are got, which is valuable reference data for the design of floating body and the selection of generator.The premise of electricity generation is power consumption. But the engineering model is not combined to the grid currently. So the generated power should be consumed by itself. Considering the shortcomings of resistance power consumption, the method of hydraulic system power consumption is put forward and tested. The result indicated that the method is feasible.Finally, the improvement scheme of hydraulic wave generation system is put forward, which makes it convenient to install, debug and maintain the engineering model and increases power generation efficiency.
